INDIVIDUAL BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 – RESULTS

The Army Boxing Association Individual Boxing Championships took place at the Combat Sports Centre in Aldershot over the week of 4 –  8 June 2017.

The competition was scheduled for 5 days of boxing to allow for greater than 16 entries in any of the weight categories however only 4 days were required with the greatest number of entries in any one category being 12.

The 2017 Individual Championships also included an Inter Corps Championships and an Inter Unit Development Team Championships.

5.  The Army Boxing Association should discuss the format of this competition as entries have not grown significantly although the standard of boxing is very good; the reason for this is that the trend has moved from unit team entry to corps team entry. The competition remains an excellent opportunity for boxers of every standard to box within an Army Competition.
